A traveller sandboarding down a steep desert dune in Egypt

Aswan · Adventure

Sandboarding

Climb the golden dunes on the edge of the desert and ride back down on a board, with the Nile and the islands of Aswan below.

The experience

Sandboarding on the Dunes of Aswan

The dunes on Aswan’s west bank rise steeply from the river, which makes them some of the most scenic slopes anywhere for sandboarding. The climb is part of the fun; the view from the top, across the Nile to the islands, is the reward.

It suits first-timers and families as well as more adventurous travellers, and pairs naturally with a desert safari or a visit to a Nubian village. Let us know your group and dates and we will arrange the details.
